FINISHED: 1,500 point worth of WH40K ORKS!

I'm off at a very late start for 2013. It's about mid-month and I only have this post so far. Anyway, though that might be the case, this post is a major one as my first 1,500 point worth of WH40K Orks are now officially finished.

Here it is in all its orkiness! So far it has about 85 orks (boys, nobs and bosses), a Deff Dredd, 3 Killa Kans, a Looted Wagon, a Trukk, 3 Deffkoptas and a Warbuggy.

As you quite know, this army was built mainly on a budget. Warhammer 40,000 (or any miniatures game) is prohibitively expensive and requires a ton of effort. Although in my case and a few other people in the hobby, the cost could circumvented by applying a little bit pf practicality and ingenuity.

Thankfully, in Warhammer 40,000 system, buidling an Ork army offers a lot of liberty in terms of customization and kit-bashing. So, in the spirit of it all, I've had most of my army sourced from sales, bins and stuff lying around my bitz box. And thus, The Kult of the Kitz is born.

Naming my warband The Kult of the Kitz is a no-brainer as much of what comprises my Orks' 'mekha' are from gunpla/mecha kits I have around. That red Deff Dredd of mine is actually a super deformed robot kit and deff kopta mashed together. My Big Mek has Gundam arms. One of my Grots has a bike made out of scrap lighter parts and so on. Thus, the name sake.

I'm proud of all that I have done. This is my first fully painted army in any miniatures system ever. I once had a number of Tyranids once, but I eventually gave them up because of financial constrictions. But now I have my first few ladz for my WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!, I'd be with Warhammer 40,000 for as long as I can build, paint and play!

Project start date: December 15, 2011. Completion date: December 30, 2012.
