Working the night grind

As you all know, I work late at night and usually do all my net activities during this time.

This isn't new to me, I've been in a call center before. It had its perks and whatnots but the monotonous grind wore me down.

But why am I on the nightshift again you may ask?

First, this new gig of mine isn't in a call center. I work in a media research company now and what's usually in front of me is a trusty PC, lotsa coffee and the 'net for work and entertainment (???) along the shift.

Second, my life as teacher, sad to say, is over as of the start of the summer vacation. Turns out that, though I love teaching young people, my patience runs thin in the most vulnerable places so I had to give it up. I'd rather mind myself than a hundred or so teenagers, most of whom don't care about how you do things for their benefit and such.

Third, I now have the time to think of my other options. I'd figure them out as I go along...

So, I'm back! Great! Fact that I'm writing here is proof that I'm in a much better place than where I was before.

Daft Punk Love

And I call myself a Daft Punk Fan...

...I just found out recently that they'll be doing the Soundtrack for Tron:Legacies (the sequel for Tron, after soooooooooo many years) due later this year!

So while we're waiting for that, here's a sample of one of their tracks and a preview:

Buy One Take One

You gotta love 'em- Buy One Take One burgers.

For the one that thought of this concept, I salute you. It's just sheer genius. When everything seems to go up in terms of prices out comes a solution that satisfies both the belly and pocket.

I especially like the ones by Burger Machine. By far the tastiest of the bunch though they were never the first in the 'Buy One Take One' bandwagon. Their Jumbo Burgers are a real value, my personal favorite is getting one with mayo/ketchup and the other w/ barbecue sauce.

As I recall it was Minute Burger (correct me if I'm wrong) which started this whole shebang and for the record, they're 2nd on my list particularly their Double Burgers. They're more filling though some fry cooks tend to bathe the patties in oil.

There are other joints well worth mentioning like Delicioso burgers currently localized here in Laguna. They offer free coleslaw on all their stuff even in their hotdogs and it turns out their patties and coleslaw are not that bad either.

So you hungry yet? head out to your nearest Buy One Take One joint now!

Dead Fantasy - Obsessed

Let's start with this:

Dead Fantasy - Obsessed (click on the link to view the vid)

This awesome vid is from montyoum, more commonly known as 'Oum'. Oum is the creator of the Dead Fantasy series of fan videos featuring the (digital) girls of the 'Dead or Alive' and 'Final Fantasy' series with a dash of other series like Ninja Gaiden (hey, that wouldn't hurt!) hence the name 'Dead Fantasy' for his videos. What's amazing is that this is a one-man project much like the touhou project by Zun.

This particular video features the song 'Obsessed' by Mariah Carey. 'Oum' claims that this is just a test video for his upcoming Dead Fantasy 6. If the test vid looks this good then what about Dead Fantasy 6 then?

Welcome!
